02-02-09 Local News Update
Work is underway on the new golf clubhouse with the foundations being laid.
Other not so good news received from Mrs Jean Campbell(toilet attendant) about the damage done to the ladies toilet block at the pier carpark.
This happened between Sunday 18th and Monday 19th of January when the wash hand basin was dislodged from the wall.
Other evidence of burning the toilet rolls and littered with matches. The litter basket was also damaged.
The council have taken away the sink and have estimated the damage at £100.
This is not the first time the place has been vandalised and the Police have been informed.
On a more cheerier note the winner of the Tony McQueen memorial pool competition held in the Cruban Bar was Aiden Biggart with runner up Ian Currie.
Hope to have some photos and more info later.
Also, he may not have won but Carradales Lorne McDougall received a loud applause from the audience after playing in the Young Tradditional Musician of The Year Award 2009 in Glasgow on Sunday 1st Feb..
His late mum Jeanette would have been proud of his achievement as will his father and family. We wish him all the best for the future.
