01-06-05 Tax Freedom Day
According to the BBC yesterday was Tax Freedom Day. This is the first day of the year when we're actually working for ourselves instead of working to pay our tax bill. It's been getting steadily later each year and is currently 8 days later than in 2003. That's a cheery thought, eh?

Due to popular request I've turned the webcam around and it's now pointing towards Carradale Point once more. You can't see very much today though because the weather has turned foul again.

So we're into June at last and it's only three weeks till the longest day and the Summer Solstice. You'd hardly believe it looking out of the window. Still, it's nice when the sun does shine.

Meanwhile on the Campbeltown website the Carradale chatter is still going strong with such unlikely characters as The Scouder, Sanyanya, Bochan Mor, The Heidless Horseman and many others chewing the fat and setting the world to rights. It makes entertaining albeit sometimes confusing reading.
