Despite the dire warnings of storms hitting the west of Scotland Kintyre seems to have escaped the brunt of it; indeed, it was so mild this morning that the kids were paddling in the breakers as they rolled into Carradale Bay, and Louise and her sister galloping their trusty steeds up the beach!
Amongst the other birdlife to be seen in the bay were a pair of Great Northern Divers, just coming into their summer plumage. No sign of the Shelducks today though.
