They may be bothersome to fuel up,clean out the ashes and the smoke/dust around the house,but you canna beat a good old coal/woodburning fire when there is a power cut.Most of us rely on flicking a switch and hey presto heat,but its nice to be huddled around a wee stove like this sent in by Martin Mears of the Shore road.Power cuts are a thing we have to put up with in stormy conditions and we must pay tribute to the Hydro workers who go out in all weathers to get us back online.
