Carradale fire engine was called out to a fire at Achnasavil Farm yesterday.

A fire engine from Campbeltown also attended the scene but by the time it arrived the Carradale crew had matters under control.

The fire is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.

[Carradale Fire Station]It's very reassuring to have a fire station in the village as it takes around half an hour for an engine to arrive from Campbeltown.

The Carradale fire crew are frequently involved in other village activities, and fund raising events such as walking sections of the Kintyre Way, Childrens Halloween Party, and mass car washing.
