To mark its opening last year fire crews from Tarbert, Carradale and Campbeltown each walked sections of The Kintyre Way to raise money for the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund.
The letter goes on to say that between them the footsore firefighters raised a whopping £2369.12 which will be used to help sick and injured fire service personnel and their families.
