A juvenile Minke Whale around 12ft in lenght came ashore today along Shore Road, Carradale.Sadly by the look of its tail it seemed to have got caught in some kind of rope,probably creel rope which would lead to it drowning.Details were passed on to the Scottish Marine Animal Stranding Scheme with location and photos by myself yesterday along with other concerned people. Their local representative Karl Hurd (Red Cross Driver) attended the scene to take details/samples and probably arrange removal.
