16-01-10 Now Wind And Rain
Yesterday and throughout the night was a wet and windy day.
This morning the River Carra flooded the glen with the heavy rain and the melting of the snow on the upper grounds.
The level of water has dropped a good bit before I took these few pics and I was a bit concerned about a flock of sheep that have been caught up in the flood around the Marsh Pool area.
Quite often animals get marooned on higher ground by the spates, but some times sadly they can get caught out and are washed away.I normally report any difficulties to the local farmer.
