I received word from Colin Burgess of CARRADALE BAY CARAVAN PARK that this amazing young lady was arriving tonight (Saturday) having walked from Lochgilphead to just south of Cloanaig (east Kintyre). Her brother Andrew in the support vehicle collects her each evening if she does not reach the camp spot or stay over location after her 12 hour daily hike. She always starts of the next day from were Andrew picked her up the night before. We chatted (Myself,my wife Eila and Colin) to both of them for some time about how they started this walk to raise funds for Kidney Research UK. On the walk itself and they were amazed by the beauty of the Scottish countryside. Amy continues her journey today heading south via Campbeltown to tonights stopover at Southend. Your support and donations would be most gratefull to them both and may be the caravan parks they visit overnight may give a little discount or a free night.

ON February 1, Amy Leigh set-off from London to walk the entire coastline of mainland Great Britain, walking 6,824 (approximately 260 marathons) in eight months! She aims to cover between 20 and 40 miles every day with no days off.
To attempt such a challenge, Amy gave up her job and rented out her home. Her brother, Andrew, who provides essential back-up support with a shadowing vehicle did the same.
The whole project is in memory of their brother Dean who died in 2005 after a long battle against kidney disease.
With support from those she meets on her journey, Amy hopes to raise £100,000 for Kidney Research UK.
Last Tuesday, she completed the leg along the coastal path from Saundersfoot to Castlemartin in the most glorious weather.
The Rotary Clubs of Britain are offering support during the walk and as Amy passed through Tenby, Rotarian Chris Sierwald persuaded her to stop for half-an-hour, have a nice cup of tea and savour the atmosphere in the town.
Refreshed, Amy continued her brisk pace along South Beach and disappeared over the headland at Giltar - only another 5,000 miles to go!
It’s a lonely marathon and Amy would welcome anyone interested in accompanying her on any of her sectors in Wales.

Hi Johnny and Eila
Thanks so much for sending the pictures, sorry I haven't been able to respond sooner but we are REALLY struggling with internet and phone connection now! It was great to meet you both at the Carradale Caravan Park.
The feature on Carradale Goat was brilliant and we had 2 very positive responses because of it, so thanks again.
We've reached Fort William and have had a fair bit of rain over the last couple of days but the scenery more than makes up for it! The challenge, I'm pleased to report, is still going well.
