12-01-05 Stormy Weather
Another night of strong gales and hard rain last night. From radar imagery in today's Independant the waves hitting the islands and west coast of Scotland were between 50 and 75 feet in height! Who'd be a fisherman, eh? Strong winds still today but settling a bit, with periodic rain showers and hail.
Amazingly we don't appear to have lost a single slate from the roof and my new shed (about 2/3 finished) is still standing. As I'm off to England for a few days tomorrow I didn't relish the thought of having to dig the Landrover out from a pile of shattered timber.
