[Kelly Emm, Carradale]Being a fishing village it's not surprising that the sea dominates a lot of what goes on around the village.

A fair number of residents still earn a living from fishing and other sea trades.

Recently we've seen the Royal Navy's newest destroyer, Daring D32, parade by and just the other day we had a short visit by a Vanguard ballistic missile submarine.

Getting back to nature, several Basking Sharks were seen in Carradale Bay.

Despite being the second largest fish in the sea they're generally harmless to humans but have been known to accidentally up-turn boats when sounding.
