09-01-09 Resident Heron
This hunter of small fish and eels.

This elegant bird can be seen standing on the rocks in front of the carpark at Carradale Harbour or on the beach.

Other birds seen around the harbour lately apart from the gulls are Eider ducks and the Oystercatchers wading in the shallows.
