Notes from Harbour Group Chairman A Milstead.
When the Scottish Cabinet met in Campbeltown the opportunity was taken to publicise the new yacht moorings at the harbour. Michael Russell, our MSP agreed to venture out on Mike Foreman's boat Blue Tarn and be pictured picking up a mooring. The picture shows Mike Russell, Alan Milstead, Warren Harvey from Meridian Salmon who installed the moorings with Malcolm Trott and Alan Walker. This picture is being sent to the yachting press and websites to inform and encourage more visitors to Carradale. So far about 80 boats have taken advantage of the moorings and some nights there are none left, but there is plenty of space for more boats as the facility becomes better known.
