08-07-13 Explosion North Carradale Harbour
Item of ordanance being disposed of by the EOD.

If you were disturbed by a loud bang today it was the bomb disposal team (EOD) from Faslane getting rid of a submarine smoke marker.You may have seen Coastguard and Police vehicles along the Shore road which is a precaution to keep members of the public clear of the object and also to inform all of what is happening.The bomb squad took the item from were it was found up to the shoreline at the shark factory,placed it in the water and did a controlled explosion.Some of these ordance objects are dud but do not touch them,call the Coastguard or Police if unsure.
