Carradale Cricket Club played Arran side Sannox Cricket Club on Sunday, 27 July 2008 for the Carran Cup. Sannox opened the batting leaving Carradale chasing 151 runs.

Carradale's batsmen mounted a spirited attack.

Some superb hitting resulted in several sixes.




Stuart Walker was struck between the eyes by the ball whilst fielding and had to be taken to Campbeltown hospital for treatment. He returned, having been stitched up, and valiantly took his place in the batting line-up.
