This great picture of the feral Carradale Goats was sent to us by Gordon Goldie, a regular visitor to the village.

Kite flying on the beach is great fun.

There wasn't a great deal of wind on the day that these shots were taken but by running up and down the kids managed to keep them in the air.

These micro-kites are less than a foot long but fly really well!

Carradale's fire engine is crewed by local volunteers. Originally fire-fighting equipment was stored in the middle of the village, at Airds, and later down at the harbour.

When the new fire station was opened in 1996 everything was transferred up to the new site opposite Semple's Filling Station on the A842.

Waterfoot used to be home to a large fleet of fishing boats but now hosts mainly pleasure boats. It's also a convenient place to beach a larger boat when maintenance is required.
