![]() Carradale's fire engine is crewed by local volunteers. Originally fire-fighting equipment was stored in the middle of the village, at Airds, and later down at the harbour.When the new fire station was opened in 1996 everything was transferred up to the new site opposite Semple's Filling Station on the A842. ![]() Waterfoot used to be home to a large fleet of fishing boats but now hosts mainly pleasure boats. It's also a convenient place to beach a larger boat when maintenance is required. |
