At low water these stepping stones provide a handy yet treacherous way across the river Carra from Waterfoot to the beach.

The Shell Beach at Tarbert is well worth a visit. To get to it just follow the road along the harbour until it comes to a dead end. The beach is just a short distance and sign-posted.

Carradale Caravan Park is tucked in right beside the beach. This pre-season picture shows just the statics and chalets, with plenty of space for touring caravans that will arrive later in the year.
