8:30am on Christmas Morning 2004 and snow is falling steadily on Carradale.

Sunrise from our back garden. At this time of year the sun doesn't climb very high in the sky but makes up for it with it's brilliance.

HMS Cattistock (M31) in Campbeltown harbour. M31 is one of the Royal Navy's fleet of 13 Hunt class minesweepers and is remarkable in the fact that they are the world's largest GRP-built ships, at 685 tonnes. When not on minesweeping duties they are often seconded to fisheries protection and patrol duties.
