|No, not spooky visitors from who knows where but jellyfish!|
This Blue Jellyfish (Cyanea lamarcki) was spotted in Carradale Harbour on Monday afternoon, along with a few of its mates.
Having read reports of jellyfish were appearing earlier around our coasts this year than last it was interesting to see when they'd get to Carradale.
I'm woefully ignorant of the life cycle of the jellyfish but presumably this means it won't be long before they start washing-up on the beaches.
Both this and the Lion's Mane jellyfish are common in the waters around Scotland and both have tentacles that can sting if touched, so take care.
